Does dotPhoto develop film? How can I buy film mailers? What is the resolution of film scanning?
As of June 18, 2009, dotPhoto discontinued film mailer sales because virtually all of our customers have transitioned to digital. dotPhoto continued to process existing film mailers received through 12/31/09, but can no longer accept them. If you are still shooting on film and would like to upload your photos to dotPhoto, we suggest that you have your film developed locally and saved to a CD or DVD. With the CD or DVD, you can either upload to your dotPhoto account, or you can send the CD or DVD to our free upload service: dotPhoto Uploads CDs and DVDs are not returned. If the images are extremely valuable to you, please make a copy of the CD or DVD prior to mailing and use a trackable delivery service like UPS or FedEx. A note about scanning film

Film is usually scanned at a comparatively low resolution of 1536x1024. If you are interested in higher resolution that would enable you to print larger poster sizes, you may want to contact a professional scanning service like www.myspecialphotos.com
